M.Sc. Applied Physics or Master of Science in Applied Physics is a postgraduate Physics course. Applied physics is a general term for physics which is intended for a particular technological or practical use. In other words, applied physics is rooted in the fundamental truths and basic concepts of the physical sciences but is concerned with the utilization of these scientific principles in practical devices and systems. The duration of M.Sc. in Applied Physics is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute and also may be on part time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters.
