COURSE DESCRIPTION


M.Sc. Anthropology or Master of Science in Anthropology is a postgraduate Anthropology course. Anthropology is the study of human beings. It has origins in the humanities, the natural sciences, and the social sciences. The duration of M.Sc. in Anthropology is mostly of two academic years but it may vary from institute to institute and also may be on part time basis by certain institutes. The syllabus for the course is divided into four semesters and it is career orienting in nature which opens many job scopes for them in various fields.


M.Sc. Anthropology Eligibility

  • The candidates should complete their B.Sc. degree under any registered University with subjects like Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
  • The marks of admission for this course may vary from University to University and in various colleges and Universities it conducts entrance exams plus interview for the admission of the students.

M.Sc. Anthropology Course Suitability

  • Those who are willing to go for teaching fields at higher level i.e. college and university level both in private and government institutions are suitable for it.
  • Other essentials skills are learning and study skills; written communication; analytical and critical skills; ability to gather, assess and interpret data.
  • They should have oral communication and presentation skills; time management; discussion and group work skills; statistical and computing techniques; high level of cultural awareness.
