B.Tech. Textile Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Textile Engineering is an undergraduate Textile Engineering course. Textile Engineering deals with the application of scientific and engineering principles to the design and control of all aspects of fibre, textile, and apparel processes, products, and machinery. These include natural and man-made materials, interaction of materials with machines, safety and health, energy conservation, and waste and pollution control. Textile Engineering uses the principles of engineering with specific knowledge of textile equipment and processes. The course curriculum also draws knowledge from other engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical and industrial and chemical engineering. The course is four years duration and career orienting in nature.
