B.Tech. Nuclear Science & Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Nuclear Science & Engineering is an undergraduate Nuclear Science course. Nuclear engineering is the branch of engineering deals with the application of the breakdown (fission) as well as the fusion of atomic nuclei and / or the application of other sub-atomic physics, based on the principles of nuclear physics. The nucleus is a very dense region consisting of nucleons (protons and neutrons) at the centre of an atom. Almost all the mass in an atom is made up from the protons and neutrons in the nucleus, with a very small contribution from the orbiting electrons. The duration of the course is four years and it may be provided by some certain institutes on correspondence basis as well. This is very important and emerging field as it is becoming energy hub for electricity and other areas of life. Candidates can find many job opportunities in the very field after B.Tech. (Nuclear Science & Engineering) degree course.
