COURSE DESCRIPTION

B.Tech. Information Technology or Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology is an undergraduate Information Technology course. Information Technology is a discipline that deals with the use of computers to store, retrieve and transmit information. While the degree has a major focus on computers and technology, it differs from a Computer Science degree in that students are also expected to study management and information theory. Therefore, while a degree in computer science can be expected to concentrate on the scientific aspects of computing, a degree in information technology can be expected to concentrate on the business and communication applications of computing, although there is more emphasis on these two areas in the e-commerce, e-business and business information technology undergraduate courses. The duration of the course is four years and its syllabus is divided into eight semesters.

B.Tech. Information Technology Eligibility :-

• Students should have passed their 10+2 Science with Mathematics.
• Admission to the program is done through nation-wide entrance test.

B.Tech. Information Technology Course Suitability

• They should have proficiency in using productivity software like Retrieve an existing document from the saved location; select, copy, and paste text in a document or desired location and print a document.
• They must have basic knowledge of computers such as understand basic computer hardware components and terminology; understand the concepts and basic functions of a Windows or Macintosh operating system and the like.
• Applicants also have Internet skills use a browser effectively, including bookmarks, history, toolbar, forward and back buttons; understand and effectively navigate the hyperlink structure of the Web and so on.
