B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture or Bachelor of Science Honours in Horticulture is an undergraduate Agriculture Science and Technology course. Horticulture includes the study of the industry and science of plant cultivation particularly fruits, berries, nuts, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, and turf. The study under B.Sc. (Hons) (Horticulture) includes theoretical study including plant identification, field study including basic surveying, technical study involving tools, machinery, hydraulics, safe work practices and Mapping. B.Sc. (Hons) (Horticulture) degree course covers topics such as plant propagation and cultivation, crop production, plant breeding and genetic engineering, plant biochemistry and plant physiology.
